CCA&C

Main Campus Gallery

Dedicated to the work of national and international contemporary artists, PNCA’s 511 Gallery is located just off the Ann Payne Edlen Creative Corridor in PNCA’s campus flagship, Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Art and Design. Managed by Director of Exhibitions and Curator, Mack McFarland, the 511 Gallery mounts exhibitions that highlight 21st century art and design practices and support the College’s curriculum.

Dedicated to bringing national and international contemporary artists to Portland, the 511 Gallery mounts six shows each year, with each exhibition on view for two months. Students participate in all aspects of mounting the exhibitions, from details of curation to logistics of installation. Visiting artists are invited to lecture or participate in student workshops and studio visits, and each show has a First Thursday opening reception and gallery talk given by the artist and open to the public.
