Clad in a shimmering mirage, our capitalistic system is broken at the core. Hidden below the golden trappings is a foundation of human suffering and death. We are convinced that we can have everything we ever wanted. Daily we attempt to make ourselves complete by taking the disposable offerings we are told will fill our needs; attempting to plug the hole in our soul with cheap plastic knickknacks. However, human life is the true cost of our decadent wastefulness. Our system of production and consumption runs on lethal inequality. We must destroy our society in order to make something better, but the only way this will happen is if we take a long look inside and change ourselves first.
